Let’s now take a moment to appreciate the fact that Roman Iagupov jumps across a scene in a carpet. This is a historical thing. Through the years he’s been leaping across different scenes, flying high, and his many carpets were flying with him. There should be a museum of his carpets already - because I’ll bet that this collection is not full. I’d SO want folks to submit any other pics of his carpets they’d find - but there seem to be just a few fans of Zdob Si Zdub here in this place.
Well, whatever. I’ll post the most genial photos bigger. And now just - worship the carpet, as the title of the folder with these on my comp says.
It’s not a carpet! xD it’s called “catrință” and it’s part of the traditional romanian and moldovan costumes. :D After all, Zdob și Zdub are playing a mixture of hip-hop, punk and romanian/moldovan folk so dressing like that is kinda logical ;) and it’s not “gypsy music”, it’s folk.
Yeah, I know, and I love it! In fact, I just laugh at that, but I love those ‘carpets’ or, as he himself said, skirts.
